My son has autism — and I am not anti-vaccine
Thu Feb 5, 2015
I do think this is beautifully written, but when speaking of autism and finding a reason/cure, I'd like to hear from parents that do not have high-functioning children. I do know someone that has a child that is not high-functioning. Lots of hospital visits, trips to the special school t …
Should you be able to sue a parent for not vaccinating their child?
Mon Feb 2, 2015
No. Vaccines aren't 100% so you can't prove that a vaccine would have prevented the person who infected your child from getting infected themselves. Vaccinated people are falling ill too.

In reply to: Terry-2939203 #7 When you have been exposed to Ebola, and the initial symptom is fever....ANYTHING above 98.6 should be cause for concern. My oral temperature actually sits at 97.7, therefore a 99.5 is definitely a fever for me.
How old is too old to trick or treat?
Mon Oct 13, 2014
When I was in high school, school-sponsored clubs would send us trick-or-treating for UNICEF donations. We always had fun with that. As long as kids are dressing up and acting appropriately- who cares?

In reply to: Heidi Quayle #1 Amen to that. I need a new money-making venture!
Sun Jun 22, 2014
There isn't one way to answer this. Depends on the child, the financial situation, etc. We won't ever have a 300 million net worth, however we have a trust set up that what we do have including life-insurance proceeds will go to help raise our kid in the event of our death and any remain …
'An Unimaginable Loss': 13 Children Died in Hot Cars This Year
Fri Jun 20, 2014
In reply to: Laura-4292772 #4 Yes, because you bring your briefcase to work with you everyday, you do not bring your child into work with you. I can easily look around my office and know immediately if I left my briefcase; I can't look around my office and see the inside of my car. …
One heartbroken mother's plea to other parents: Ask if there's a gun in the house
Fri Jun 20, 2014
In reply to: MikeB2010 #2.3 Yes, but someone else drinking alcohol isn't going to kill your kid. Someone else playing with a gun DID kill their kid.
